Your email address will never be shown and therefore protected from spam, and any sensitive personal information divulged in the comments section will be censored or removed as soon as it’s seen or a request is made to remove it.

How long is PII stored by DARNIELLE.me?

Until the data is no longer necessary for the purpose it serves. Comments remain on DARNIELLE.me indefinitely, but analytics information and information submitted via contact forms is deleted regularly. Cookie and preference information is stored via your browser and thus is under your control.

How can I view, correct, and/or remove what PII DARNIELLE.me has of mine?

At this point, the tools available for this are not fully automated so you will have to contact me and request to view, correct and/or delete your PII.

What can I do if I do not want to share any PII with DARNIELLE.me?

DARNIELLE.me is a not-for-profit project and does not accept sponsored content requests. This means you can be sure that the opinions shared on any products, service, experiences or entertainment are 100% honest and my own.

All content on DARNIELLE.me is presented “as is” and “at your own risk”. Any recommendations made or advice given is done so on the basis of it being stuff that works for me. Everyone is different so it may not work for you… and in some cases, may cause harm, losses, or damage. I absolve myself of liability should this happen. Please use common sense.

Additionally, all content presented here may not always be accurate and reliable, particularly if it’s from an older post. Internal links may be broken, external links may redirect you to content that could no longer be available or has changed, and my opinions on a subject may have changed since the time of writing.

I strive to use my own stuff as much as possible on DARNIELLE.me, but because I’m not as talented in certain areas as other bloggers, I may use content from other sources. Any content which has been sourced from elsewhere and hasn’t been licensed for use without credit will be attributed appropriately. If you find content that I haven’t credited correctly, or I’ve used something of yours that you would like removed, please let me know so I can remedy the situation.

I am happy for you to use my written content elsewhere without asking, so long as credit is given. However, if you would like to use any of my graphical content, please ask first before using anything with an image extension attached to it. You’re also welcome to “copy” ideas from me because chances are, I adapted them from someone else anyway.

Commenting Policy

I reserve the right to edit, delete, or mark comments as spam if they are indeed spam, contain harmful or illegal content (such as dodgy links, sensitive personal/identifying information, and malicious attacks on myself or other commenters), or are irrelevant to the content you are commenting on.

This means you should limit links (you can link to your website using the URL field), keep the content of your comment safe and spam-free, and stay on topic in line with the content you are replying to. If you have something else to say, tell it to my inbox.

Things that ARE allowed in comments:

• Swearing/cursing — Being that I am a foul-mouthed motherfucker myself, it’d be wrong of me to restrict your freedom to swear. I just ask that you use it for emphasis rather than for the sake of swearing. Every sentence does not need a curse word. What you’re trying to say will be just as effective without it!
• Use of HTML — As long as you know how to use it, and you ensure that your tags are closed, you’re welcome to add your own formatting to your comments. The following tags are allowed: <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <q cite=""> <strong>.

All comments with more than two links in the body and the first comment you leave will be held for moderation, but subsequent comments made using the same email address will display immediately.
