I know I probably don't have to explain what RDR2 is being that it's one of the most popular video games of all time, but if you don't know:
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a single-player open world action-adventure video game, set in a fictionalised version of the West, Midwest and Southern United States of America in 1899. It follows the character of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw, as he navigates life as a member of the Van der Linde gang.
It is a prequel to Red Dead Redemption, which follows John Marston as he seeks to bring former members of the Van de Linde gang to justice. In RDR2, John becomes a playable character in the epilogue.
Due to the fact that I am absolutely terrible at console gaming, I never got to play the first Red Dead Redemption. I only got to experience it by watching my husband play it and I absolutely LOVED it. I kept hoping it would eventually be ported to PC, but it never was. I started playing GTA V (another Rockstar game) which WAS released on PC, and naturally, when I discovered that RDR2 would be available for PC, I bought it immediately.
I was one of the many people who "never made it out of the snow" (a reference to the first chapter of the game) before deciding it was "too slow" for me and going back to GTA V for a while. It wasn't until my husband bought it on Playstation for something to do during the pandemic lockdowns and managed to get out of the snow that I realised I needed to pick it back up.
I became obsessed. I have since played through the story multiple times to achieve different objectives, including seeing all of the different endings, getting 100% and unlocking all the Steam achievements.
